Minimum Requirements

MEDIUM-SIZED CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

For contractors with over 5 employees the minimum qualifying criteria are:

Have a minimum £3 million Public Liability and £5 million Employers Liability.
Be CHAS accredited or have an equivalent Health and Safety accreditation.
Have a current Health & Safety policy and demonstrate compliance with relevant legislation.
Provide a clean and professional uniform for customer-facing trades.
Be registered with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
Be VAT registered.
Be registered with or prepared to join TrustMark.
Have PAS 2035 certification or be actively working towards certification.

SMALL-SIZED CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS

For contractors with 5 or fewer employees, or sole-traders, the minimum qualifying criteria are:

Have a minimum £1 million Public Liability and £2 million Employers Liability.
Provide a Health & Safety policy showing compliance with relevant legislation.
Provide a clean and professional uniform for customer-facing trades.
Be registered with the Construction Industry Scheme (CIS).
Be VAT registered when required.
Have PAS 2035 certification or be actively working towards certification.

These minimum requirements are subject to change and each individual application will be assessed on its own merits. Meeting the minimum criteria does not imply or guarantee successful inclusion in our Contractor Network.

Rethink Retrofit manages risk by undertaking due diligence on current and prospective contractors to ensure they are credible entities with which to trade. This may include a financial check on your company, and we reserve the right to refuse inclusion in our Contractor Network based solely on this assessment. Rethink Retrofit is not obliged to disclose the reasons for refusal of an application.
